







Indigenous filmmaker - Dylan Newstead
With a lifelong passion for visual storytelling, Dylan Newstead, an Indigenous filmmaker from SC’IȺNEW Nation, brings a wealth of self-taught expertise and hands-on experience to every project. Since 2000, Dylan has immersed himself in the world of filmmaking, mastering tools like Adobe Premiere and After Effects through dedicated self-study.
His journey includes co-hosting and editing The Foolcast, a weekly filmmaking and photography podcast, where he hones his skills in diverse content editing and social media video creation. Dylan’s extensive portfolio also features a web series focused on urban news, weekly sketch comedy videos with “Skit for Brains,” and contributions to the “4 Villains” web series, showcasing his versatility in writing, shooting, and advanced editing, including special effects. He’s also crafted compelling promotional videos for clients like YEG Exotic and Brewers Choice Coffee.

Leipzig Germany is a beautiful city located about 150km from Berlin. I was lucky to spend 6 days there filming a documentary with Josh Zed of Foolhardy Photography.
